Condition
Condition Report as per Simon Parkes Restoration, Inc. (4/13/2015): This is a very heavily painted work. As such, the paint layer has developed some cracks that have been attended to. The canvas has been lined. The paint layer does not seem particularly dirty. There has been no abrasion and the Impressionistic "Turner-esque" quality of the paint is impressively preserved. The cracking to the paint layer throughout, especially in the center left, upper left and upper right, has been retouched. There may be a small loss in the orange color on the horizon on the left side. For an ambitious and complex paint layer, the condition is good. Although it could be hung in its current state, it may be beneficial to reexamine the restoration.
