Condition

Ultraviolet light reveals notably a circa 8 by 3cm restoration towards the upper-left corner of the composition (patched on the reverse), a few smaller areas in the sky to the upper-right of the left-hand warship, some small strokes in the chimneys of the central warship, and a circa 5 by 10cm area of restoration in the sky near the right framing edge (also patched) with some minor spots of retouching to the adjacent canvas join. Presented in a simple painted and gilt frame.
