Overall the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble consistent with the material, including to: the book, the proper right thigh, the drapery around the proper right foot, the proper left foot, and the armrest at the back. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, including to the chest. There are a few minor chips and abrasions, notably around the bottom edge.
