Catalogue Note

RARE IMAGES OF AMOY, CANTON AND FOOCHOW. The album contains 35 photographs of China, comprising two 2-part panoramas and one view of Amoy by Jiu San & E Fong (one panorama possibly by Lai Afong?), 6 views of Canton, 23 views in and around Foochow and the River Min, attributed to Tung Hing, and one other. In addition the album contains 13 hand-tinted portraits and views of Japan, and 15 images of Suez, Malta, Ceylon, and England.
