the surface enamelled in translucent green over banded wavy-engine turning, the ends wrapped with gilt leaf trails on blue enamel grounds, cabochon sapphire thumbpiece, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 13646

Condition

The enamel with areas of restoration to three corners and around the thumbpiece. The hinge very slightly askew and therefore a slight closure gap.
