Catalogue Note

One of the most recognizable of Michael Jackson's looks.

Michael Jackson’s predilection for military style jackets helped forge one of the most celebrated trends of the 1980s. Whether sporting a blue version for the 1984 Grammy Awards or a red version for the 1984 American Music Awards, the military jacket became an iconic look for Jackson during the Thriller era. According to the accompanying letter written by manager Frank Cascio, this particular iteration was one of The King of Pop's favorites.
