"for what is man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself..." Elvis wrote the preceding at the end of Luke, and  underlined numerous verses while writing out others along the bottom pages throughout his copy. Throughout his career, Presley's renditions of gospel standards were some of the most popular of his recordings.
