Condition

These photographs are generally in good to very good condition. Cooler - This photograph is on double-weight semi-glossy paper. In raking light, a number of long scratches and tiny impressions are visible overall. This print has thin white margins; the corners are creased and rounded. On the reverse are 'Weegee The Famous' and 'Arthur Fellig, 5 Center Market Place, New York City' credit and studio stamps. The reverse of the print is heavily soiled. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print appears to fluoresce. Accident Victim (Shock) - This photograph is on double-weight semi-glossy paper. In raking light, a few small sharp handling creases that do not appear to break the emulsion are visible. There is a ΒΌ-inch scratch with attendant loss of emulsion near the left edge of the image. The print has thin white margins; the corners are creased and abraded, and there is a loss to the tip of the upper left margin corner. There are reduction notations in blue pencil, and 'Weegee The Famous' and '451 West 47th Street, New York City, U. S. A., Tel: 265-1955' credit and studio stamps on the reverse. The reverse of the print is lightly soiled and darkened at the edges. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce. The Human Cop - This photograph is on lightly textured double-weight paper with a surface sheen. Upon close inspection, long scratches that appear to break the emulsion are visible along the upper, lower, and left edges. This print has thin white margins; the edges are worn, and the corners are creased. On the reverse are 'Please Credit Weegee from Photo-Representatives' and '451 West 47th Street, New York City, U. S. A., Tel: 265-1955' credit and studio stamps. The reverse of the print is heavily soiled. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print appears to fluoresce. Mending, Coney Island (First Aid for Ripped Slacks, June 1941, "A Stitch in Time") - This photograph is on double-weight paper with a slight surface sheen. Several sharp creases and long scratches are visible near the edges of the image. This print has thin white margins, and the corners are creased. On the reverse are 'Please Credit Weegee from Photo-Representatives' and '451 West 47th Street, New York City, U. S. A., Tel: 265-1955' credit and studio stamps. The reverse of the print is heavily soiled. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print fluoresces faintly in the margins.
