Condition

This print has all of the richness and nuance characteristic of Drtikol's finest pigment prints. The shadowy dark areas have great depth, and the highlights a creamy tonality. This print is in generally excellent condition. A few small deposits of old retouching, likely original, are visible upon close examination, most notably in the central portion of the image on the sitter's torso. Two small horizontal creases near the upper edge are visible upon very close examination, as are scattered tiny glossy deposits of indeterminate nature in the upper portion of the image. There is minor edge wear, and the tip of the lower left corner is slightly bent. Adhesions and abrasions to the upper paper-ply on the reverse of the mount suggest that this print was at one time affixed to a secondary mount.
