Condition

This print is in excellent condition. With a small (approx. 4cm) superficial scratch near the centre only visible in raking light. A beautiful, luminous pigment print. The print is flush-mounted to card, meaning that the signature and stamps are concealed and that photocopies thereof are fixed to the back of the frame. According to both Pace/ MacGill and the framer, Mertens in Brussels the work did not leave the gallery framed, Mertens confirm that they mounted the piece according to the owner's wishes in 2007. They further confirm that they took the photocopies of the back of the print that are now fixed to the back of the frame before the print was laid down onto the card.
