Condition

The canvas has been relined. There are some scattered minor lines of craquelure visible under close inspection likely associated with the lining. Ultraviolet light reveals strokes of retouching along the framing edges, in a small circa 2 by 5cm area in the upper left quadrant of the sky, and clustered thin strokes addressing craquelure primarily in the sky. The overall appearance of this work under normal light is good and it is ready to hang. Presented in an elaborate gilt frame, with a nameplate
