The copper support is in good condition, with only a very slight buckle at the right edge, but sits perfectly flat in its frame. There is minor frame abrasion at each edge and a small area, of approximately 1/4 by 1 in., where the surface appears to be blooming, along the lower edge at the left side. The varnish has discolored due to age, impeding a reading under UV, though there may be retouching to the baby, center left. The painting would benefit from a light clean and fresh varnish. Offered in a carved wood frame.
