• The approximately 80 sheets, all of varying sizes, bound into three albums, within dark blue paper covers;
  the drawings in pen and brown ink, most with grey and/or blue wash, some with ruled black chalk lines;
  many extensively inscribed; the albums each with nearly identical inscriptions: a) in pencil, on the final sheet: par M^r Walwein - Joseph - / peintre Ypres or very similar; b) in brown ink, on front cover: Leçons de Perspective / par / Joseph Walwein. peintre / Ypres 1833
