Condition

Under close inspection it is possible to make out fine craqueleure throughout the composition. It is most clear in the figures and the pillow lower right. The panel has one split running parallel to the upper edge 5.5 cm. from the top. It runs the width of the panel. Another smaller scratch is also visible, it is 12 cm. long and is 3 cm. below the upper middle edge. There are small chips inter-dispersed along the left right and upper edges most likely caused by a frame. A small abrasion is visible 13 cm. from the right and 12 am. from the lower edge. It measure 0.2 cm in diameter. Under UV light it is apparent that there has been re-touching to the arms and stomachs of the figures, the split in the upper third has also had work done to it to make it blend witht the original work. Small areas of retouching have been carried out in numerous areas but are circumstantial.
