The illustration is accurate despite a little too bright. The gilding is slightly tarnished as expected. Good overall condition despite the usual minor scratches and marks due to age and handling. Some losses on a corner of the plinth, as visible on the illustration. There are the usual minor cracks to the tortoiseshell. A thin vertical shrinkage crack on a lateral side. There are the usual minor cracks to the ebony on the lateral sides. Two small gilt-bronze ornaments are missing on each side of the front mask. Very nice chasing, especially on the central mask.
