Natural pearl and diamond brooch/pendant, early 20th century

Suspending an oval natural pearl measuring approximately 13.80 x 15.40 x 16.80mm, within a frame of circular- and single-cut diamonds, from a detachable surmount of garland design set with similarly cut and pear-shaped diamonds, brooch fitting detachable.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72245, stating that the pearl, weighing approximately 26 carat and measuring approximately 13.80 - 15.40 x 16.80 mm, was found to be natural, saltwater. Natural pearl of white body colour, please refer to the report for further details; medium to good lustre, some blemishes. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use and age, very minor solder marks to the reverse. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 29 grams.
