Description

Composed of a series of alternating links set with cushion-shaped sapphires and cushion-shaped, circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds, the front suspending three detachable pendants featuring a pear- and a trapeze-shaped sapphire, length approximately 480mm, one small diamond deficient.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72812, stating that the fifteen sapphires are of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Central pendant detaches in three places: at furthest bottom (detaching the pear-shaped rose-cut diamond), next detaching pear-shaped sapphire, next detaching circular-cut diamonds above pear-shaped sapphire. Pendants to either side also detach in two places: at furthest bottom (detaching the pear-shaped rose-cut diamond) and the cushion-shaped sapphire above it. Detachable pendants may have been added on other jewels, now deficient. Two further hooks for pendants in between the pendants. Mounted in silver and gold. According to the SSEF report, the sapphires weigh between approximately 4.40 to 31 carats, the total weight being approximately 170 carat, with measurements ranging from approximately 12.60 x 8.05 x 4.60 mm to approximately 24.65 x 19.30 x 7.65 mm, they are blue of medium to medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the report; sapphire well matched in colour, good transparency with few crystal inclusions, some small nicks, scratches and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 12.00 - 14.00 carats (rose-cut diamonds not included), on average of various colours and clarities, as gauged and graded in mounting, one small diamond deficient. Clasp secure, safety chain. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 120 grams.
