Centering an emerald-cut emerald measuring approximately 11.9 by 10.2 by 5.8 mm, flanked by two calf's head-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 7.65 carats, the mounting further accented by single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .30 carat, size 7½; circa 1920.

Condition

In fair to good condition. With some wear to the millegraining at the shoulders and abrasions to the shank. Two prongs at the corners of the emerald are lifted up could snag, which also make the emerald loose in its mounting. Could be repaired by a jeweler. Emerald weight is approximately 5.00 to 5.50 carats. The emerald is a rich medium slightly greenish blue and is slightly included. Noticeable abrasions, nicks and chip to the facet junctions and girdle. A 2.4 x 1.4mm chip near one corner and several surface reaching inclusions. The diamonds are approximately F-G color and SI clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 61381 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor, type: traditional.
