Centering an octagonal step-cut sapphire weighing 13.04 carats, framed by old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 8.75 carats; last quarter of the 19th century.

Condition

In good condition. The sapphire is a light medium blue color and is slightly included. With windowing through the center of the stone, which allows the eye to see a couple of inclusions. Abrading to the facet junctions on the crown, but the pavilion facets remain crisp. Diamonds are approximately H-K color and predominantly SI clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 62202 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 14080164 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating.
