Centering an oval-shaped sapphire weighing 23.49 carats, framed by old European-cut diamonds, signed Tiffany & Co.; circa 1910.

Condition

In good condition, especially considering age. The sapphire is a rich medium slightly violetish blue color and good clarity. A cluster of fingerprints close to the edge at one side of the stone and a partially healed fracture on the other edge. With a chip to the pavilion measuring approximately 2.1 x 2.0 mm. The 14 old European diamonds weigh approximately 4.60 carats and are approximately I-J color and VS-SI clarity. Fitted with retractable pin clutch, removable pinstem and retractable pendant loop which allows the piece be worn as a pendant. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 61450 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by Gübelin report. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 14085099 stating that the sapphire has no indications of heating. Together with a letter on the rarity of unheated sapphires.
