Composed of 12 tumbled rock crystal beads measuring approximately 26.9 by 15.5 mm, spaced by 26 onyx beads measuring approximately 8.3 by 5.7 mm and 19 coral beads measuring approximately 9.6 to 6.9 mm, further accented by 26 frosted rock crystal beads measuring approximately 10.5 by 6.6 mm, suspending a pear-shaped onyx pendant, set throughout with round diamonds weighing approximately 2.95 carats, length 30 inches, signed Seaman Schepps and P.S.V. for Patricia Schepps Vaill.

Condition

In good condition. The tumbled rock crystal beads are intact, with minimal signs of wear. Some of the frosted rock crystal beads show very minor surface wear, adding to their textured appearance. The coral beads range from a medium to medium-deep orangy red, with some examples showing minor mottling, small polyp holes and minor cracking, not apparent when worn. The onyx beads are intact, with some showing minor wear where they rub against the crystal and coral beads. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Signed on the reverse of the onyx pendant. Potential bidders who intend to export this lot are advised that certain permits are required for export. Catalogue Note

The daughter of Seaman Schepps, Patricia Schepps Vaill was known for her use of rock crystal and beach glass, designing jewels in the Art Deco style. She served as President of her father's firm from his death in 1972 until 1988.
