Designed as florets centering two oval-shaped cabochon rubies weighing approximately 4.00 carats, framed by round diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats, further accented by round rubies, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered NY 42572, with maker's mark, circa 1972; suspending later-added cultured pearl drops measuring approximately 11.1 by 9.4 mm and 11.0 by 9.7 mm, the caps set with round diamonds weighing approximately .30 carat.

Condition

In very good condition. The cabochon rubies are very deep purplish red, semi transparent and appear heavily included when a light is shone through them. One cabochon has a moderate amount of surface-reaching fractures. The small round rubies are medium-deep purplish red and lightly included. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The cultured pearl drops are silvery white with good luster and soft rose and green overtones. The skins are smooth but show very slight dimpling and ringing under magnification. Length approximately 1 1/2 inches.
