Pair of ruby and diamond ear clips, circa 1930

Of geometric design, set with brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, suspending an articulated fringe of oval rubies, hinged back fittings.  

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Rubies medium to light red and purplish red, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, surface reaching fissures, some with chips and fractures. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.00 - 5.00 carats, estimated colour H-I, estimated clarity VS on average, a few stones SI. Strong hinged back fittings. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 23 grams.
