The front set with a fringe of oval and cushion-shaped sapphires, highlighted with brilliant-cut and tapered baguette diamonds, length approximately 420mm, signed Winston, maker's mark for Jacques Timey.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 82241, stating that twenty-one sapphires, measuring from approximately 10.30 x 8.88 x 5.70 mm to 12.80 x 11.05 x 8.30 mm and weighing approximately from 4.5 to 11 carats, are of Burmese origin and one is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Please note that Sotheby's is not responsible for the accuracy of any estimated weights provided by gemmological certificates. Clasp signed Winston, maker's mark for Jacques Timey on reverse of the central sapphire. Necklace stamped Pt 950 for platinum, clasp stamped OR for gold. Sapphires well matched in colour, blue of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor nicks, scratches and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 75.00 - 80.00 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Clasp secure, safety catch below. Little signs of wear to the metal, few scratches consistent with light wear. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 162 grams.
