Très bel exemplaire aux armes de René Nicolas de Maupeou (OHR 2243), Garde des Sceaux en 1768 sur la démission de son père, célèbre pour avoir exilé le Parlement (1771) tout en adoptant des mesures progressistes, en réformant la justice, et en supprimant la vénalité des charges.
