A rare presentation copy of one of Conrad's greatest masterpieces - a key inspiration for Graham Greene, and the basis for numerous film adaptations. For Conrad's lifelong friend G.F.W. Hope, immortalised as the director of companies in "Heart of Darkness", see note alongside lot 205.
