Catalogue Note

Inscribed to John Galsworthy's sister, Mabel Edith Reynolds (née Galsworthy) and her husband Thomas Blair Reynolds, who married in 1897. Mabel Reynolds published Memories of John Galsworthy in 1936. A copy of Nostromo inscribed by the author to the Reynolds was sold in these rooms, 28 October 2010, as lot 29.
