Together with a tulip-form candle-snuffer, an inkstand and a pair of Continental porcelain tulips mounted on tole-peinte stems set in terracotta pots, one pair of ice cups with Derby crowned crossed batons and script D marks and one of another pair with SPODE mark in iron-red20 pieces.

Condition

Please note that there are two inkstands and four vases, as opposed to five vases and an inkstand, as stated in the catalogue. Tulip-form ice cups: Please note that four of these pairs are associated. All with some very minor and occasional rubbing to the gilding. The pair with circular bases and purple and yellow tulips : One has its base been broken off from the stem; the base has been further broken into two pieces with associated rimchip and all restored back; there is an additional 1-inch long area at the rim that has been broken off and restored back. The other has been broken off from the stem and restored back; there is a small chip to the base; one petal has been restored and there is a 1-inch haircrack running down the rim. The pair with yellow and orange tulips on octagonal bases: Both with some minor speckling. One has a small chip to the base; the same cup has chips to three of its petals, which appear to have been previously restored chips. The other has an approximate 1/4-inch chip to edge of one petal and another small flat chip to the tip of another petal. Spode pair with orange petals and green octagonal bases: good condition. The associated pair with purple petals and octagonal bases: One (marked Derby) has a restored chip to one petal and further chips to all other petals in varying sizes. The other has one restored chip to one petal and several very small chips to the rim edge. There is a pinhead chip to the interior of the cup near the handle. The last associated pair: One has the edge of one petal broken off; the piece is now retained. The other is in good condition. Vases: Three large vases on rocky bases: One has restored chips to the edges of three petals of the large tulip; the smaller tulip has been broken off from its stem and restored back; the edges of petals of the small tulip also has restoration covering chip/s; edge of one leaf is restored. The other has some flaking to the green enamel, a restored chip to edge of one petal on the large tulip and restoration to the edges and stem of the smaller tulip; there is also occasional restoration to the edges of the leaves. The last one has two restored chips to the edges of the petals of the large tulip; the edges of the smaller tulip are restored and there are several chips or restored chips to the edges of the green leaves. The smaller vase has a few minuscule chips to the edges of the smaller tulips and occasional restored chips to the green leaves; otherwise in good condition. Tulip-form candle-snuffer: Good condition. Pair of inkstands: One has restored chips to all four green leaves; the flowerheads on the base are restored; otherwise in good condition. The other has one restored rim chip to tip of one petal and restored edges to three of the four leaves; one shell-form well is also restored and occasional chip/s or restoration to the flowerheads on the base. Pair of Continental porcelain tulips mounted on tole-peinte stems set in terracotta pots: Each with a small chip to the edge of one petal.
