Condition

This work is in very good condition. Varied greenish black patina. work is affixed to a concrete base at one point on the underside. One or two small spots of patina rubbing scattered throughout, and a few more spots at hte very bottom of the work near where it rests on the base. Some surface dirt in the deeper crevaces, otherwise fine.

Catalogue Note

The first cast of this model was made in 1903 by Alexis Rudier and is now a part of the Victoria & Albert Museum's collection. Beginning in 1995 Émile Godard began an edition of eleven examples of this work, numbered 1/8 - 8/8 and I/IV - III/IV, with the present cast numbered 4/8 in this edition.
