Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is frame abrasion and some minor associated losses, particularly visible along the upper and the upper left edges. UV examination reveals some areas of previous retouching to address old frame abrasion, particularly noticeable along the upper and upper left edge. There is a further spot of possible restoration (approx 0.5cm. across) in the sky in the top left quadrant, visible under UV light. There is surface dirt and fly spotting, and the work would benefit from cleaning. Otherwise, the colours are fresh and vibrant, and the work is in very good condition.
