Catalogue Note

In 1986, Audemars Piguet released the new calibre 2870. It was the first production of a tourbillon with automatic winding. With a case size of 7.2 mm in diameter with a height of 2.5 mm it was the smallest tourbillon produced at that time.
The texture on the dial is modelled on Egyptian mythological symbols.
