Catalogue Note

After Napoleon’s fall from power in 1814 there was a return of the British clientele to Breguet's workshop. At a time when Paris was occupied by the coalition troops, Breguet had the perfect opportunity to use his exceptional reputation to expand his production. Many English officers such as Lord Clanwilliam became customers.
