The carved ivory elephant, the crown set with a cabochon ruby measuring approximately 8.2 by 6.2 mm, framed by round diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, the tail set with a pear-shaped turquoise cabochon, completed by two cabochon emerald eyes, internal circumference 7 inches, signed VC&A, numbered 44190.1; circa 1965.

Condition

In good condition. The ivory with a yellowish patina, either due to age or possibly due to the material being dyed. The trunk and ears are intricately carved and the elephant has a very lifelike face. The emerald eyes are medium slighly bluish green and moderately included. The ruby cabochon is medium deep slightly purplish red, translucent and heavily included with some surface reaching fractures. The turquoise cabochon is medium blue without any matrix. The bracelet can fit two different wrist sizes because there are two places to latch it. Fitted with a safety clasp.
