Of multi-strand design and suspending a tassel, composed of numerous ruby beads weighing 373.45 carats, spaced by 11 carved jade elephants and onyx rondelles, accented by round diamonds weighing 7.27 carats, internal circumference 29 inches, signed MdV.
Condition
In good condition, with some evidence of discoloration to the jade on a few of the segments, not readily apparent when worn. The translucent to semi-translucent carved jade segments range from very light to light lavender with moderate color mottling and presenting a nice "icy" texture. The ruby beads are medium purplish pink and moderately to heavily included. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, predominantly VS clarity. The onyx is intact and in good condition. Lies nicely when worn.
