Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The scale is a wonderful example of American modern epitomizing the aesthetic in the design of the case and the graphic design in the paint of the foot. The scale is functional and retains the original paper tickets. The case appears to have been sensitively cleaned at some point in the works history. The front and side panels with a few minor surface scratches, indentations along the edges and some surface dirt to the recessed portions of the design. The foot of the scale is very good condition as seen in the catalogue illustration. The exterior of the foot with some discolorations, minor paint losses and surface scratches, all consistent with age and use. The "Step on It" portion of the foot is in excellent condition with some minor surface scratches. A wonderful example of the skyscraper design that dominated the American modern aesthetic of the period.
