Condition

Overall excellent original condition. The surface of the piece has a wonderful patina throughout and with a very delicate hand-hammered surface treatment. The pewter is in excellent condition, with a minor surface abrasion from gentle handling that is only visible upon close inspection of the piece. With occasional minor oxidation to the metal consistent with age and gentle use. The top surface of one of the handles with a minor area of discoloration. When viewed in person, the work a deeply sculptural and commanding presence. This is most likely a unique work by the artist and showcases Daurat's intricate technique and sculptural talent.
