Overall in very good condition. The wooden surfaces appear to have been sensitively cleaned throughout and the desk presents as a result with only very gentle evidence of wear. The top of the desk with a few scattered shallow surface scratches and a few minute abrasions consistent with sensitive use. The wooden elements of this desk are executed in a richly figured palmwood that adds further depth to a deeply sculptural form. The wooden edges of the table to light tapering and rounded edges showing the expertise and intricate attention to detail of the designer. The underside of the desk with a series of small modern plastic components that likely served as wire guides affixed to the underside. This offering also includes the original rare bookstand and telephone table as seen in the catalogue illustration. The metal elements of the desk with a beautiful patina throughout that adds great warmth to the design. The lower portion of the feet with a few scattered light surface scratches, areas of light rubbing and some minute edge abrasions. All the hardware is original and intact.
