Condition

Overall very good original condition. This rare offering includes the original upholstered chair and matching ottoman in a variant, special order red hue upholstery. The chair throughout is in excellent condition showing only very gentle signs of use. The rosewood frame with few very small and minor surface scratches, only visible on close inspection. The leather upholstery remains soft and with only very minor crazing that does not break the surface of the leather, and is consistent with gentle use of a chair of this age. The enameled aluminum feet on both chair and ottoman with a few light, scattered surface scratches as a result of use. All of the original gliders at the base of the feet for the chair and ottoman are present. The gliders on the ottoman are presently loose and would benefit from being stabilized. This offering is a rare opportunity to acquire a variant of a mid-century design icon in original condition.
