Of scroll design, set with a larger oval ruby and smaller synthetic ruby, circular-cut and rose diamonds and suspending a natural pearl drop, later pin fitting, two small rose diamonds deficient.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 73575, stating that the pearl, weighing approximately 12 carat (48 grains) and measuring approximately 9.20 - 12.35 x 15.00 mm, was found to be natural, saltwater and the larger ruby, measuring approximately 4.30 carats and measuring approximately 9.95 x 9.10 x 5.00 mm, was found to be natural, of Burmese origin, with no indication of heating. Pearl drop of medium lustre, some slight discolouration and very slight pitting to nacre, white body colour with very slight green overtones. Natural ruby medium to light purplish red, some slight variations in colour, typical inclusions visible to naked eye, surface reaching fissures. Synthetic ruby dark red, typical inclusions visible to naked eye, surface reaching fissures. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.00 - 6.00 carats, estimated colour J-L, estimated clarity SI on average. Some slight scratches and tarnish to metal consistent with age and wear. Later pin fitting secure, safety catch. Two rose diamonds deficient. In good condition.
