The rectangular box of geometric design, the thumbpiece set with polished lapis lazuli, opening to reveal inscription 'Patrick J. Beasley, Panorama, Coventry Stakes, Ascot, June 14, 1938', measuring approximately 168 by 92 by 47mm, signed Cartier, British hallmarks and maker's mark, gross weight approximately 633 grams

Catalogue Note

The Coventry Stakes were established in 1890 and have taken place every June since, at Ascot. The Stakes were named after the 9th Earl of Coventry, who was the Master of the Buckhounds.
