  • jade
carved and hollowed in the form of a knotted tree trunk, the exterior issuing gnarled leafy pine branches with three playful monkeys clambering atop, the base with lingzhi sprigs extending up the side, the opaque white stone suffused with russet-brown inclusions

Jacques Vic, Cannes, acquired in the 1980s.

Condition

In excellent general condition, with only several minute nicks to relief carving. The stone of a slightly greener tone than as seen in the catalogue image.
