Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of very light wear and handling along the edges. The canvas is slightly loose on its stretcher. The brown pigment extending horizontally along the bottom half of the painting is thinly applied and has created an uneven texture, but appears stable and inherent to the artist's working method. There are light and scattered accretions including a 2-inch vertical accretion in the center of the thickly applied blue pigment in upper left quadrant. Under raking light there are light surface abrasions visible. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Framed.
