The painting is overall in a relatively good state of preservation. It has been properly relined during the first part of the 20th century. This operation has slightly flatten the painted surface. It appears under a dirty varnish. There is a network of circular cracks, mainly visible in the skin. Those cracks are typical of the 18th century and doesn't interfear with the understanding of the work. Under UV lamp: Under a green uniform varnish. We can notice some very light retouching in the hair and some retouching in the gilt wood back sit.
