A Sancai-Glazed Miniature Archaistic Ewer
Qing Dynasty, 18th Century
modelled after the archaic pouring vessel yi, with a broad spout opposite an angular handle, finely moulded on the sides with green taotie formed of zoomorphic motifs divided by purplish-brown vertical flanges, all reserved on a yellow ground, the interior handle and footring glazed in purplish-brown, the base left unglazed revealing the white body, wood stand
