Description

of circular form with gently rounded sides and a domed cover, the cover and the box deftly carved in imitation of guri lacquer with three radiating ruyi-shaped pommels within a lipped border at the joint, the interior of the box gently hollowed-out and carved with a raised rim tightly fitting the cover, the densely grained wood of deep reddish-brown colour with typical gold speckles and a smooth patina

Condition

There are a a couple small age crackles on the interior mouth of the cover and some expected wear and light scratches to the interior rim of the box, but overall the box and cover are in very good condition.
