Catalogue Note

First edition of Joyce's first novel in the rare dust jacket. While the number of copies printed is unknown, it was likely few and even the reprints of 1917, 1918 and 1921 are extremely uncommon in jacket. The present is a highly attractive example and one without the tears, soiling, heavy restoration or loss marring the others that have sold at auction in the last 30 years.
