  • Gouache, ink and gold on paper
gouache heightened with gold on paper, 4 columns of fine nasta'liq script in black ink, sprinkled with gold, illuminated heading, reverse with 25 lines of text and a further heading

Condition

In good overall condition, leaf cropped, minor creases, colours bright, as viewed.

Goruy-e Zerah, a Turanian, who had cut off Siyavash’s head over a golden basin, is captured by Giv in one of the Eleven Rokh combats and taken to Kay Khusraw who orders him to be hanged.
