Description

  • ormolu and white marble
  • 65.5cm. 25¾in. high
5¼-inch enamel dial with concentric date and signed Pochon A Paris, skeletonised centre, the substantial movement with pin wheel escapement, decorative beaded pendulum with knife edge suspension and outside count wheel striking on a bell, flat bottomed plates, the finely cast and chased lyre frame with flower and laurel mounts, the oval base on knurled feet

Condition

Dial is a little dirty but in otherwise good condition and retaining the gilt fleur-de-lys half hour markers. Movement is complete and would just run at cataloguing but is very dirty and requires clean and service, bell hammer replaced. Case in generally good condition and retains the original gilding, minor edge chips to marble base. With pendulum and an ill-fitting winder.
