Description

  • 42.3cm., 16 5/8 in. high
of similar form, supported by a youthful cupid, the horn and base painted in rich sunset colours with biblical and classical subjects, the slate-blue ground painted in black with masks and leafy scrolls, the borders and bands picked out with enamelled ‘jewels’ and stylised iris, maker’s mark, Vienna post-1872 town marks

Condition

Generally good order. Minimal enamel losses on flowers of base-top and borders. Small chips to enamel of horn just above cherub's head. Slight restoration to enamel exterior near top rim.
