En 1985 Diego Giacometti souhaite réaliser à nouveau son modèle de lampe Les Dompteuses. Il confie à Pierre Hugo la fonte de deux premières paires, l'une à patine verte, l’autre, que nous présentons, à patine noire. L’artiste offre cette seconde paire au propriétaire actuel quelques semaines avant sa mort.
In 1985, Diego Giacometti decided to create additional versions of his lamp Les Dompteuses. Working with Pierre Hugo, he cast two pairs, one with a green patina, and the other, the offered lot, with a black patina. The artist gave the second pair to the current owner a few weeks before he died.
